About Me

Hi there!

I'm Charlie, a final year PhD Candidate at the University of Glasgow. I'm passionate about communicating science, be that in more traditional academic settings like conferences, or other avenues such as social media and public engagement.

I love uniting scientific knowledge with creative, inclusive communication. My goal is to make science accessible by engaging people with exciting ideas and great design.

I'm originally from a small town called Bedford in the south of the UK, but my education has taken me all over the country- originally to Durham, then to Sheffield and now to Glasgow. As a proud East coast native I am yet to adjust to the Glaswegian weather, but I am excited to see where my PhD can take me.

In my spare time I enjoy taking dance classes and performing as part of amateur theatre productions. Recently I was Assistant Choreographer for a production of Footloose.

Please feel free to get in touch using the link below or the form at the bottom of the home page.

All the best,

Charlie
