Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination
Developing and running community building events for postgraduate researchers (PGRs) at the University of Glasgow.
Spearheading the introduction of new events, including the Visualise Your Thesis competition.
Coordinating engaging welcome events for new PGRs during Induction Week.
Blog Management
Writing and editing regular blog posts for the UofG PGR Blog, including idea development, scheduling and design.
Social Media/Content Creation
Fostering the growth of an online community of UofG PGRs through social media.
Implementing a social media strategy to increase engagement and follower counts.
Creation of social media content.
Production of graphics to promote events and support the advertisement of opportunities (e.g. internships).
PGR Communications
Providing regular email updates for PGRs by way of monthly round-ups.
Developing video content to support event promotion and communicate information to new PGRs.
Redesigning the UofG PGR Researcher Development website to ensure clarity of message and a clear web structure.
Supporting Roles
Supporting other members of the Researcher Development team during key events and designing clear communications for team messages to the UofG community.
Representing the Researcher Development team at internal and national conferences.
Mentoring new PGR Interns in their role and leading to ensuring a smooth role transition.

Awards
Winner of a Rewarding Contribution Award, University of Glasgow.
Event Coordination
Enhanced engagement with competitions, doubling the entries to 3MT and quadrupling the entries to Love Letter to Your Thesis. The 3MT final was attended by over 300 PGRs, Academics and Professional Staff.
Successfully introduced the Visualise Your Thesis competition to UofG.
Adapted of a number of regular PGR events to an online sphere, including a virtual campus treasure hunt during induction.
Coordinated the booking of a hybrid (online and in-person) Induction Week and hosted community events.
Blog Management
Increased blog visits by 480% to 103k.
Social Media/ Content Creation
Increased Twitter followers by 147% to 2,200 with annual impressions up to 621k following a successful rebrand.
Doubled the Instagram followers by implementing a new posting strategy driven by Reels (total views on Reels 50k in four months).
Launched UofG PGRs on Spotify and introduced collaborative playlists for researchers.
PGR Communications
Implemented a new Round-Up template to encourage PGRs to engage with emails.
Redesigned and maintained the Researcher Development for PGRs Website.
Created a number of videos, including guides and tours, for communication to PGRs and prospective researchers.
Supporting Roles
Represented UofG at the UKCGE annual conference and hosted a workshop relating to PGR interns.
Offered advice to individuals at other universities and shared best practice.
